Event description

This one act play by Rob Kendall is a fictional and dramatised account tracing the relationship between Northampton model-maker, W.J. Bassett-Lowke, and Charles Rennie Mackintosh based on the letters sent to Mackintosh by W.J. as 78 Derngate was being re-modelled between 1916-21 and also the latter letters Mackintosh wrote to his wife, Margaret, while they were in France.

The action covers the period between 1914 and 1928 when both men's lives were to some extent professionally linked.

The actual Mackintosh interiors of 78 Derngate will form the stunning backdrop to this promenade performance which is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
